Healthy Texas Women Program for uninsured low income women.
AHC’s network of six rural health centers located in Atascosa, Wilson, Karnes, McMullen and Live Oak Counties offers Healthy Texas Women , a state-funded program administered by HHSC to provide eligible Uninsured women with Women's Health Services and Family Planning. Family income and the number of family members in the household determine eligibility for services.

- You are age 15 to 44 (parental consent needed for ages 15-17)
- NOT currently pregnant
- A US Citizen or Legal permanent resident
- Do NOT have health insurance

Primary Health Care Program:
This program offers preventative health services, diagnostics & treatment; laboratory & immunizations. You may call our office to ask any questions or confirm eligibility.

VA Community Care Network:
- The VA Community Care Network (CCN) is VA's direct link with community providers to ensure Veterans receive timely, high-quality care. If you are a Veteran, please call the Community Care Contact Center with any questions 877-881-7618.
- Focuses on ANY and ALL person(s) within our facilities between the ages of 50 and 75, regardless of health insurance coverage. See more info on our News & Events page.
- Focuses on screening ALL person(s) born within the baby boomer years of 1945-1965 regardless of health insurance coverage.
- The County Indigent Health Care Program helps low-income Texans who don’t qualify for other state or federal health care programs get access to health care services. You must be a resident of the county in which you apply. AHC offers applications and assistance completing the application only. We do not determine eligibility.
